Columbus County Sheriff’s Office investigating shots fired call near Whiteville

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect who they say fired shots into a home near Whiteville.

According to the report, Logan Blake Prince called the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office just after 9pm on Monday and told them someone was causing damage to his property in the 200 block of Quail Drive by driving around in his yard.

The report says Prince threw a bottle at the vehicle, and the person in the vehicle fired several shots at the residence before taking off. The report states Prince may have known the suspect in the vehicle.

Shortly after, another vehicle drove by the residence, firing multiple times.

No one was hurt, and no arrests have been made at this time.
