Columbus County woman charged with arson

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville woman is accused of setting a home on fire while two people were still inside.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Keira Ann Williams, 41, over the weekend.

Williams is accused of setting fire to a home in the 300 block of Reeves Lane in Nakina.

A 57-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were allegedly inside the home at the time.

The Fire Marshal’s Office assisted with the investigation.  Williams was located hiding in the woods behind the home.

Williams was charged with First Degree Arson and given a $50,000.00 secured bond.
