Columbus County accident takes the life of another teenager

Another car accident in Columbus County has taken the life of a teen. It happened Wednesday afternoon on Prison Camp Road just south of Whiteville.

Eighteen-year old Joey Soles of Tabor City was ejected from his SUV while trying to elude arrest for not having a driver’s license. Soles was not wearing his seat belt.

His death is the 14th on Columbus County roads in the past 39 days.
