Columbus County woman wins cookies for a year

The chance to indulge in a box of Girl Scout cookies is an annual event. But one Columbus County woman has enough boxes to last her the whole year.

Out of thousands of raffle tickets, Gayle Kinschuhouh was the lucky winner of a year supply of Girl Scout cookies. Gayle was given more than 52 boxes of Girl Scout cookies; one for each week of the year. She said she plans to share her fortune with other families. “I work as a PRN nurse at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville and I will probably take over quite a bit and leave them in the family kitchen.”

Gayle was allowed to choose any of the types of cookies to make up her years supply. She chose Thin Mints for herself, and Carmel Delights for her daughters.
