Community groups meet to handle funding
The uncertainties of state funding brought community groups and local government together today.
United Way leaders and other local organizations were trying to get a handle on future funding for local social programs.
The United Way’s Angel Funk says understanding budget policies are the best way to prepare for funding impacts to come.
Funk said, “We realize that all of our agencies that we’re currently partnering with and will partner with in the future are directly affected by the decisions that are made in Raleigh, and Washington DC, especially when it comes to funding.”
The United Way serves 35 different agencies.
