Company creates special Halloween costumes for kids in wheelchairs

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — This Halloween Wilmington’s 101 Mobility teamed up with a special education class at Codington Elementary to celebrate the holiday.

Employees designed special costumes to fit the students’ wheelchairs. The costumes included Mario and a Mario Cart, a DJ, a firefighter and fire truck and even Snow White and a princess.

“It’s really gratifying to see how happy the children are to feel an integral part of the school on Halloween,” Codington principal Budd Dingwall said.

The students showed off their costumes and took home the custom-made outfits after school for trick-or-treating tonight.
