Company gobbles up Wilmington Dunkin’ Donuts stores

Donut eaters can look forward to upgrades to Wilmington’s Dunkin’ Donuts stores soon – reports the Greater Wilmington Business Journal.

SCCD, an established owner of Dunkin’ Donuts franchises across the region, today announced that it has purchased four Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Wilmington and will soon begin significant upgrades to the establishments, according to a press release.

SCCD, which previously purchased and renovated, and successfully operates, nine Charleston, S.C.-area Dunkin’ Donuts, will enhance the four Wilmington franchises to the modern Dunkin’ Donuts image by completely refurbishing the restaurants’ interiors, improving signage and installing WiFi Internet service.

The Wilmington restaurants are located at 5111 Market St.; 2515 S. 17th St.; 5611 A Carolina Beach Road; and 5709 Oleander Drive.
