Constitution day celebrated at CFCC

The United States Constitution turns 221 years old today.

The Constitution was signed in 1787. Students and faculty at Cape Fear Community College celebrated in the courtyard area on campus.

The purpose of the event was to remind people how the document has shaped our society.

Craig Eury, a CFCC student, said, ”Constitution Day is a new concept to me. I think people my age don’t get involved in it enough.”

A booth was set up during the celebration which also registered people to vote.
