Controversial town leader resigns

The Calabash Town Administrator is stepping down, following controversy over his credentials.

Jeremy Cribb announced his resignation in a letter this morning. He wrote he is “keeping in mind what is best for the continued success and growth of the town.”

Last week, we reported Cribb lied about prior work experience on his resume. He also has a criminal history for impersonating a law enforcement officer, and writing worthless checks.

The town gave him a second chance, because they were happy with his work.

Cribb’s resignation is effective immediately.
