Corey Vann’s family raising reward money
It has been about a month and a half since 20-year-old Corey Vann was found dead along River Road in New Hanover County. His family is still desperate for answers.
Vann’s relatives do not want his case to go cold. Vann’s mother, Julie Covey, has opened a memorial fund in her son’s name to raise reward money in hopes of catching Vann’s killer.
In the early morning hours of January 29th, Vann was found with a bullet wound to the head. Covey said she hopes the reward money is the incentive people will need to come forward with information. “You just take it one day at a time, you have good days and you have bad days. There are so many unanswered questions. We just want to know why. We just want to know who,” said Covey.
You can donate money to the Corey Vann Fund at any First Citizen’s Bank branch. Covey is hoping to raise five thousand dollars.
Anyone with information on Vann’s murder is asked to call local law enforcement.
