Coty expanding Lee County plant
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — While Coty plans to shut the doors on its cosmetics plant in Pender County next year, it’s expanding another plant in North Carolina.
The Lee County Economic Development Corp. said Coty Inc. will spend $12 million to add eight production lines at its plant in Sanford to make nail color lacquers. The move will create 140 new jobs.
The company expects the new product lines to begin operations in March.
Coty has more than 800 full-time workers at the plant now.
