Council approves more downtown bathrooms along riverfront
In a five-to-two vote, council approved the construction of more bathrooms, and a shower facility for boaters along the Wilmington Riverfront.
The money for the facility will come from a state grant that will only allow boaters who pay docking fees to use them.
Currently, there are only two public restrooms at the location, near the Visitor’s Center at Market and Water Streets.
Council will have a second reading of the ordinance at its next meeting.
