County approves Carolina Beach Inlet dredging money

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Commissioners approved money for Carolina Beach Inlet dredging this morning. The board voted to spend $168,000 to prevent the inlet from eventually filling in.

The county is contributing about 75 percent of the total cost, which is nearly $250,000. The money will come from the county’s Economic Development Fund.
