Crash causing road closure on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Drivers should expect major delays coming into and leaving Brunswick County due to vehicle crashes in both the inbound and outbound lanes at the base of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.

At this time, one lane is open in each direction.

According to officials emergency crews are actively working to clear the roadway.

Please use caution, slow down, and be patient while responders work the scene. Consider alternate routes if possible.

The incident appears to be causing major traffic on South Front Street and 3rd Street.
