Crash shuts down part of Hwy 17 in Supply
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A crash involving three cars sent nine people to area hospitals late Monday afternoon.
Cheif David Robinson with Coastline Volunteer Rescue Squad says it happened just after 5:00 p.m. at Highway 17 East and Sellers Road.
One of the vehicles involved landed upside down.
Robinson said two people with serious injuries went to Grand Strand Regional and seven people with minor injuries were taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Hwy 17 remains closed in the southbound lanes as fire and law enforcement clear the scenes. Southbound traffic is being detoured down Sellers Road.
Brunswick County EMS, Coastline Rescue, Supply Fire Department, Civietown Fire, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and NC Highway Patrol all responded.
