Crews break ground on splash pad in Oak Island

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — The parks and recreation department in Oak Island is making a splash this spring as crews break ground on the future splash pad at Middleton Park.

It’s part of the Middleton Redevelopment Project.

The splash pad marks the first step toward making the park multi-generational fun for the whole community.

The splash pad will be followed by the construction of a new amphitheater.
