Small woods fire near Murrayville Road under control

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Crews are investigating a fire near Murrayville Road.

New Hanover County Dispatch said they received a call about a small outside fire by Crooked Pine and Murrayville Road came in around 10:10 p.m. on Friday night.

According to Wilmington Fire Department, it was a woods fire that burned several acres. Forest Service arrived to help contain the flames and it is now under control.

No injuries have been reported.
