UPDATE: One man injured in Brunswick Co. crash involving log truck, pick-up
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — One person was hurt when his pickup truck collided with a log truck Friday morning.
It happened just before 6:00 a.m. on Makatoka Road in Ash.
Trooper T. Chavis with the NC Highway Patrol says 67-year-old William Jordan was driving the log truck. Trooper Chavis says Jordan was pulling out of a dirt road onto Makatoka Road when he was hit by 29-year-old Michael Simmons of Ash.
Trooper Chavis says right now, Jordan faces a misdemeanor yield violation.
Dispatchers said the road was closed as emergency crews worked. Highway Patrol, fire and EMS crews were on the scene.
