Crews respond to gas leak in downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Fire Department on the scene of a gas leak downtown.

According to the a Wilmington FD spokesperson, crews were called to the area of Front and Walnuts Streets around 10am Thursday.

The gas leak was quickly located and capped off.

Front Street is closed between Grace and Walnut as crews work the scene and repairs are made.
