House damaged during morning fire near Northwest

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Crews responded to a house fire in Northwest Wednesday morning.

Northwest Fire District, Leland Fire/Rescue, and Navassa Fire responded to the blaze on Stillys Avenue mid-morning.

Leland Fire says the home appeared to be abandoned.

The house was not a total loss but heavily damaged.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
