Crews to fix Wrightsville Beach Drawbridge next week

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Crews will spend nights next week fixing part of the Wrightsville Beach Drawbridge damaged in a car accident last week. The DOT will close the eastbound right lane of the bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday till Friday.

Crews will repair the concrete guardrail that was damaged when a 16-year-old girl hit it in a Land Rover Friday night. Investigators say the teen was eating a piece of cake behind the wheel when she lost control.
