Criminal summons dropped against Powerball winner

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A criminal charge against Powerball millionaire Marie Holmes was dismissed Friday.

According to a criminal summons filed by Lorna Marlowe last month, Holmes repeatedly called and threatened Marlowe.

A spokesperson with the office of District Attorney Jon David said after the prosecuting witnessed failed to appear at a hearing, the charges were dismissed.
