Cucalorus Film Festival launches crowdfunding campaign

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cucalorus Film Festival and Connect Conference has launched its annual crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to support filmmakers and entrepreneurs attending the 22nd annual festival.

The non-competitive festival is hosted in downtown Wilmington, NC and runs from November 9-13, 2016. This year will feature more than 250 films and over 40 Connect events – including keynote speaker Louis Forman of Edison Nation and a screening of Generation Startup.

Cucalorus draws thousands of cultural travelers, creative leaders, industry innovators and filmmakers from across the globe and over 70 U.S. cities each year – making it a uniquely diverse creative exchange.

Cucalorus has an Indiegogo goal of $40,000. The funds support filmmaker travel and equipment rental.

Cucalorus offers a range of rewards to Indiegogo backers: custom Freakers, posters, festival passes, and even your own craft made cocktail. You can pledge your support to this year’s festival by donating to the Indiegogo campaign or by simply sharing their project. Further details for the campaign can be found on the Indiegogo website or at www.cucalorus.org.
