DA rules Harrells Raceway shooting self defense

SAMPSON COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Investigators in Sampson County say a Fourth of July shooting death was justified. They say Torrey Frederick shot and killed Timothy McKoy at Harrells Raceway.

The district attorney says the investigation revealed McKoy appeared to be the aggressor for pulling a gun on Frederick, who fired in self-defense. The DA will not file charges against Frederick.
