Davis files bill to fund CFCC MarTech program

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington lawmaker is pushing to maintain Cape Fear Community College’s Marine Technology program.

Republican Rep. Ted Davis filed a bill in the state House today to protect the more than $688,000 for the program in each of the next two fiscal years.

Gov. Pat McCrory’s budget cut that money in half. The governor says the school could actually increase the program’s funding through another budgeted allocation.
