Day two of Thomas Wright case

Day two of former State Rep. Thomas Wright’s obstruction of justice trial and his lawyer has declined to present any evidence in defense.

State prosecutors rested their case today and prepared for closing arguments.

A state elections investigator testified that Wright failed to disclose more than $150,000 in campaign contributions over a seven year period.

Wright was already sentenced in April to a minimum six-year sentence for mishandling charity contributions and fraudulently obtaining a loan.
