Daytime shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A busy part of the city was the scene of a daytime shooting Friday afternoon. Wilmington police arrived on the scene just after 3pm and found a man in the alley between 13th and 14th streets near Queen. The victim had been shot once in the abdomen.

The man believed to be 25 years old was conscious, he was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
