DC Virgo Middle School students skipped class and rocked out

DC Virgo Middle School students got to skip class today and rock out.

A band called Hello Revolution fired up students and teachers. The band is a part of the Young American Showcase, a Florida-based production company that works to motivate students.

The first half of the show, the band kept the rowdy crowd very entertained. The second half of the show was more educational. Band members talked to students about peer pressure and bullying.

“We want students to feel safe when they come to any school, regardless of it being DC Virgo or another school in the county, and by getting this message out to students to hear that it’s not okay to be bullied or to be a bully,” said assistant principal of DC Virgo Middle School Don Cummings.

Hello Revolution will be rocking out again Thursday night at DC Virgo Middle School at 7:00 p.m. The show is open to the public.
