Deadline for voter registration

If you want to vote on Election Day, you must be registered by Friday, October 10, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. That is the deadline to register to vote on November 4, 2008.

To be eligible you must be a US citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day and you must have lived in the county where you register for at least 30 days before the election.

If you miss the deadline, all is not lost. You can register and vote at the same time during one-stop voting, which starts October 16, 2008.
