Debate over insurance rates for coastal communities continues

When the State Legislature convenes for its new session Wednesday, the debate about increasing insurance rates for coastal counties will be one of the issues on the floor.

State Senator Julia Boseman said she will introduce a bill to help keep families in their homes. “What my bill would do, is to freeze the premiums that are supposed to be increased in February, and also to freeze the deductibles to keep that from increasing, too. You know, I think these are both things that are very important to folks here.”

Tune into WWAY NewsChannel 3 tomorrow, as we’ll hear more from Boseman and other colleagues who represent us in the State House and Senate about their priorities for the upcoming session.
