Debris pickup in New Hanover Co. starts Tuesday

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — New Hanover County residents in the unincorporated area should have all vegetative debris from hurricane Irene ready for pick up by the end of Monday, September 12.

A private company will begin picking up limbs on Tuesday from state-maintained roads only.

Residents can check the list of those roads AT www.nhcgov.com.

New Hanover County is awaiting word from FEMA whether the clean up may be extended to non-state roads.
