Delgado trial update

The Tyrone Delgado trial continued Friday.

Delgado is accused of the attempted sexual assault and murder of Melissa Mooney back in 1999.

Delgado’s ex-wife Anna Cruz testified today.

She told jurors Delgado acted violently toward her, and at one point fired a rifle in their own house when she asked questions about what happened to Mooney.

District Attorney Ben David said the physical injuries Mooney suffered were similar to some injuries Anna Cruz suffered as well.

Defense Attorney Jennifer Harjo said Anna Cruz is an unreliable witness, and that her stories are inconsistent.
