Democratic VP nominee Kaine to visit Wilmington Tuesday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Hillary Clinton’s running mate will visit the Port City next week.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine will come to Wilmington Tuesday, a campaign source told WWAY this afternoon.  NC Senate candidate, Andrew Barnhill, confirmed the news, saying Kaine will give an address on National Security at 3:00 p.m.  A location has not yet been decided.

Kaine’s visit comes on the heels by visits by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to UNCW, GOP VP candidate Mike Pence to the Port of Wilmington and a Leland factory and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara held a Trump for Women event in Wilmington.

Clinton held a rally along the Wilmington riverfront in May 2008 ahead of her North Carolina primary race against Barack Obama.
