Democrats look ahead to Saturday, Tuesday primaries

WASHINGTON (AP) — With no clear winner yet in yesterday’s Super Tuesday contests, the Democratic presidential candidates are setting their sights on the next round of primaries.

Barack Obama ended last night winning 13 Super Tuesday states. But rival Hillary Rodham Clinton scored more delegates — 845 to Obama’s 765, by the latest count.

Delegate tabulations continue today, as Democrats divide their delegates roughly in proportion to the popular vote.

One race is still unsettled. New Mexico hasn’t finished counting votes from its caucuses last night. So far, Obama has a slim lead.

On Saturday, Louisiana, Washington state and Nebraska hold votes for Democrats. And on Tuesday, 168 delegates will be at stake as Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia hold their primaries.
