Deputies ask for help identifying drug store thief

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a woman accused of fraudulent transactions as a couple of area drug store.

Investigators say on September 24 the woman went to the Walgreens at 5900 Carolina Beach Rd. At approximately 1 p.m. they say she purchased several bottles of perfume. They say she then tried to buy gift cards at Rite Aid at 4502 Shipyard Blvd, but the cards were declined.

Deputies say the suspect appears to be between the ages of 25 and 30 and was seen wearing a black and white mini skirt and high heels.
