Deputies identify man found floating on ICW

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We now know the identity of the man found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway last week.

Deputies said Francis Dellapelle, 61, was found by fisherman near Figure Eight Island last Wednesday. The cause of death has not been determined after the autopsy, and deputies said they’re waiting on results from a toxicology report to come back.

Dellapelle was from the Myrtle Beach area, deputies said.
