Deputies: Man gets robbed, follows robbers until they’re arrested


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said a man who was trying to meet up with someone he met online ended up getting robbed.

Deputies said around 7 p.m. Monday, a man stopped on Highway 421 to meet someone he met online. Once they were at a location the pair discussed, deputies said the man was approached by two women who pulled a knife on him and took money. Deputies said once they got in a car and left, the victim followed them and called 911. The car was stopped on N. 4th Street.

Deputies said Adrian David, Tiffany Duncan, Kassey Robinson and Richial Stroman are all facing charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy. Deputies did not disclose who the victim was supposed to meet originally.
