UPDATE: Missing Southport man found

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — UPDATE: William Tyler Wood has been found safe.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help find a missing man with a cognitive impairment.

William Tyler Wood, 32, is a white male with blue/green eyes and red hair. He is 6’3″ tall and weighs 250 lbs.

Investigators say he was last seen yesterday afternoon at his home on Pine Crest Drive in Southport. He was driving a gold 2000 Lexus four -door sedan with NC plate YZA-7929 plates. He is thought to be headed to Leland to visit a female friend.
