Duplin Co. deputies searching for ‘dangerous’ escaped inmate
DUPLIN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies are searching for an inmate who they say escaped from the Duplin County Jail late Wednesday night.
They say Ronald Lee Ennis, Jr., 30, was in jail on burglary, assault and kidnapping charges, among others.
They say he escaped through a door at the jail and then jumped the fence just before 10 p.m.
Deputies say Ennis, Jr. has a Wilmington address and also has ties to the Durham area. They say he is 5’8″ and 140 lbs.
