Deputies seize more than 12 pounds of marijuana, meth and other drugs in New Hanover County investigation

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives with its Vice & Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation in August into Samson King, who was suspected of trafficking drugs in New Hanover County.

As part of the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment at 458 Racine Drive.

The sheriff’s office said detectives seized approximately 101 grams of methamphetamine, 5,679 grams of marijuana and THC, 36 grams of MDMA, 19 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 45 squares of LSD and 4.8 grams of cocaine.

King was arrested and charged with two counts each of trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking MDMA and trafficking marijuana. He also faces additional narcotics-related charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

No additional details about the investigation were released.
