Deputies show off counterfeit haul

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Sheriff’s Deputies seized 25 boxes of counterfeit goods from a Wilmington store yesterday. Investigators say the merchandise is worth more than $47,000.

According to detectives Big Town Fashions and Accessories on Greenfield Street sold fake brand name jeans, shirts and sneakers, plus bootleg DVDs.

Arrest warrants are in the works to charge the owners with various felonies. Detectives say one of the owners has a record that includes multiple counterfeit goods charges.
