Detailed New Hanover budget available online

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — The New Hanover County Budget Department has made details of the Fiscal Year 2010/2011 budget available on the Internet. The line-item budget allows taxpayers to see what each department spends on salaries, supplies and other expenses. This year is the first year that a detailed budget has been published on line, helping make New Hanover County more transparent and accountable.

The 362 page line-item budget details all expenditures and revenues collected for the county’s general fund, fire district and enterprise funds.  The line-item budget may be found on the county’s website, www.nhcgov.com, or at this direct link.
