Developer wants luxury apartments, retail along northern riverfront

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A $50 million riverside apartment development might be coming to downtown Wilmington.

Raleigh-based Dewitt Carolinas says the six-story community near PPD called Pier 33 would have 300 residential units atop more than 30,000 square feet of retail space and plenty of amenities.

Developers want to begin construction this fall. They say it should take about 16 months to complete.
