Discussion Tuesday night on whale strandings

Whale strandings are common on North Carolina beaches.

A presentation at the Cape Fear Museum Tuesday night will discuss protecting the state’s whale population.

UNC Wilmington researchers and marine mammal experts will explore whale migration and address why our coastal waters are a critical habitat for the endangered species.

Admission is free and begins at 6:30 p.m.
