Diverging Diamond to be completed next weekend
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The end is in sight for the Diverging Diamond Project in Leland.
Plans to complete the new interchange are set for the first weekend in April, but the NCDOT says those plans are tentative.
According to signs posted on the Causeway, the Village Road interchange at the Causeway will be closed again to motorists the weekend of April 1.
NCDOT spokesman Brian Rick said those plans could change depending on factors including weather. Rick said project managers will make the final decision Tuesday.
The area will be closed all weekend, similar to a previous closing to begin work. The interchange will reopen Monday morning before the morning rush.
