DMV back to issuing driver’s licenses after one-day hiccup

RALEIGH (AP) — The state Division of Motor Vehicles is issuing driver’s licenses and identification cards again after a national slowdown led officials to stop the process for one day.

DMV stopped issuing licenses Monday after a national database system became overloaded. States use the system to verify information before issuing licenses or identification cards.
