Dog Wash raises money for medical research

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We’ve all heard of car washes to raise money. But what about a dog wash? That’s right, in Wilmington, 101 Mobility held a dog wash to raise money for MDA, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Folks could bring their pooches to the 101 Mobility location on Oleander Dr. for a bath and a treat. And for the humans, music and hotdogs came as a part of your dog washing.

Organizers said the money will go towards researching muscular dystrophy and working towards treatments and cures. They encourage anyone to come by their showroom and check out their options for helping folks improve their mobility.
