WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Donald Trump is making his was back to the Cape Fear this weekend.
The Republican presidential nominee will hold a rally at the Air Wilmington Hangar at 1817 Aviation Drive at the Wilmington International Airport Saturday. The rally will begin at 1 p.m. Doors open at 10 a.m.
This is Trump’s second visit to Wilmington during the campaign. He filled UNCW’s Trask Coliseum on Aug. 9. His running mate Mike Pence has also made two visits to the area. In late August Pence visited the State Port of Wilmington and held a rally at a Leland factory. Pence returned to Wilmington last month for a rally in downtown Wilmington.
The Democratic ticket has also been represented in the Port City. VP nominee Tim Kaine visited Wilmington to give a speech on national security in September. While Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has not come to town, her husband, former President Bill Clinton, held a rally at CFCC’s downtown campus last month. Mr. Clinton’s bus tour also made a stop in Whiteville, which Clinton visited while in office and in 2008 to campaign for his wife.
