Downtown grocery store to open Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — For years there’s been talk about the need for a grocery store in downtown Wilmington. Friday that talk turns to reality.

Farmin’ on Front announced its store at 143 N. Front Street will open to the public Friday.

The store is described as the first urban food market under the Farmin’ Brands umbrella. It will include local produce, seafood and meats, as well as a “Beer Barn.”

Farmin’ on Front says its grand opening weekend will include giveaways, food samples, live music and more.
