Downtown Christmas Tree lighting next Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) – Please join us for the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday, November 26th at Riverfront Park. Holiday entertainment will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by the lighting of the tree at approximately 6:25 p.m. with help from some very special guests. Santa will arrive shortly thereafter and will be available for children to visit at no cost.

The view across the river to Battleship North Carolina will also provide added enjoyment as the Battleship will also coordinate a special lighting at their site in conjunction with this event.

The event is co-sponsored by the City of Wilmington and the Downtown Business Alliance in partnership with the Battleship North Carolina.

On street parking is available for free. Parking is also available in the decks downtown.
